Health Care Economics and Policy Prerequisites: ECO 2023, or ECO 3003, or equivalent, or permission of instructor This course focuses on how health care markets differ from other markets. Because of asymmetric information, uncertainty, government involvement, and externalities, the economics of the health care sector and its players (patients, providers, insurers, employers, and government) require a special economic analysis.
